FACILITATORS:

Laura & Julie MikuskaMikuska Group Inc.​, Mikuska Group is much more than the sum of one+one. Together twins Laura and Julie have extensive experience in fundraising, fund development and governance and have helped organizations of all sizes achieve their potential, including charities, non-profit organizations and academic institutions.

Before founding Mikuska Group in 1998, Laura worked in the social impact and education sectors for 15 years where she held leadership positions in the public service and in community organizations. Her career included aspects of management, board governance and fund development.

Her work with Mikuska Group has included working with clients in all aspects of fund development – capital campaigns, annual campaigns, major gifts, donor engagement and stewardship, coaching and mentoring, fundraising audits, events, feasibility studies, board governance, communications and key messages.

Julie has worked in the social impact sector since 1984 in the areas of advocacy, education and community organizations. Her career spans many areas of fund development and management including alumni relations, public affairs, communications, capital campaigns, donor engagement, stewardship and events.

Since joining Mikuska Group in 2011, she has worked with clients on a variety of projects including coaching and mentoring, recruitment and retention of development staff, creating a culture of engagement, feasibility studies, campaign plans, development plans, key messages and donor-focused communications, policies and board governance.
