Join Peter Cameron of the Ontario Co-operative Association for this interactive Co-op 101 session.
The Co-operative business model works on the Triple Bottom Line – People, Planet and Profits. It is the best model for Social Enterprises to put their values into practice. Co-operatives are democratic businesses that put the power back in the hands of employees, producers, consumers and/ or community members. There are co-op businesses in virtually every business category including retail, housing, agriculture, social services, renewable energy, health, finance and IT. This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of the co-operative model including start up, incorporation and financing. Several local successful co-operative businesses will be featured.
Come learn how co-operatives are building a better world!
