CCEDNet’s AGM will be held on June 6
in Winnipeg, Manitoba, as part of the Manitoba spring member meeting, where Manitoba members will enjoy a day of networking, celebrating success, setting direction for the coming year, and learning. At noon, this year’s AGM will cover essential business, leaving substantive discussions for the member gathering at the Social Enterprise World Forum in Calgary (see below).

Creative Community Business Conference in Cape Breton
The Community Economic Development Institute of the Shannon School of Business presents their Creative Community Business
conference on July 10-12.
The conference brings together practitioners, researchers, and community organizations to discuss current practices, challenges, and emerging trends in community business. The conference includes presentations from more than 20 thought leaders, with the keynote from Kevin Lynch, former Clerk of the Privy Council

CCEDNet will be organizing a meeting for all Atlantic members

CreateAction Across Canada
Forty young people across the country are in the process of beginning 5-month placements that will allow them to gain work experience in community economic development and community enterprise while building the capacity and sustainability of innovative local initiatives. More information on the host agencies will be posted on our website
