Allen has a wide range of experience in activism and advocacy experience. He has worked on policy issues in non-profit and public sector organizations, and has served on several community advisory committees, boards of directors, and with grassroots organizations. In 2015 he participated in United States Government’s International Visitor Leadership Program on Disability Advocacy, where he learned how advocates, disability organizations and different levels of government work together so disabled people in the United States can exercise their civil rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Allen is a graduate of University of Winnipeg and Red River College.
