Workshop Host: Local Investing
Courtney has worked in Community Economic Development and sustainability for 15 years. She currently leads the Public Policy team at Momentum, a Calgary-based social enterprise, focusing on poverty reduction and economic inclusion. Her day-to-day work is in collaboratively designing social and economic policy with municipal and provincial governments, most recently on the issues of payday lending, children’s education savings, and local investment funds. She is an active volunteer in her community, including co-founding two social enterprises: The Calgary Tool Library and the Bridgeland Farmers Market. She is passionate about sustainability and the interconnectedness of our environmental, social, and economic well-being.
