Kate has led the WRENCH, North Point Douglas Women’s Centre, Spence Neighbourhood Association, and the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association; and served as Strategic Director for the Social Enterprise Centre. She has served in government twice as a political staffer and was a candidate for city councillor in 2018. She was a long time board member of the John Howard Society until 2021, both locally and nationally. She is regularly involved in grassroots and more formal organising work.
