As Director, Community Financial Centre at Assiniboine Credit Union, Nigel leads a team of specialists with expertise in providing creative financing solutions to support not for profits, social enterprises, cooperatives and small businesses. This unique Centre is the only one of its kind found within financing institutions in Manitoba and has developed a knowledge informing how “community banking” can respond to the ever changing landscapes in a way that supports the important work necessary in building a stronger local economies and more inclusive civil societies. Nigel has acquired his International Credit Union Development Educator (I-CUDE) designation along with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and continues to share his 30+ years of experience in banking and not for profit sectors serving on community Boards.
