Stanford White is Anishinabe – Ojibwe & Potawatomi descendant from Walpole Island First Nation and Wikwemikong Unceded First Nation. Stanford belongs to the black bear clan. He was raised by his traditional teachings, ceremony and pow wow way of life. His mother is late Lena Odjig – White of Wikwemikong Community on Manitoulin Island, she was 4th degree in the Midewin Lodge she belonged to the Jingle Dress Society and a well-respected Anishinabemowin Language Professor. His father is Dave White from Walpole Island First Nation, pow wow dancer and archeology consultant within his community and surrounding area.
Stanford has recently graduate with honors for his Social Service Worker with Indigenous Knowledge Diploma 2019.
