Danni has been with Clan Mothers Healing Village for 3 years. She completed their pilot project for Indigenous women in carpentry and was hired with the Mother Earth Construction crew.
Danni helped build the first phase of the Healing Village in Belair. Currently, she works on Parkwest Projects work sites and will be building decks and fences with MEC’s new social enterprise to help Clan Mothers become more self-sustaining.
Danni is also learning other parts of the construction process and has done training in project estimating with Parkwest. Her goal is to begin her Carpentry Apprenticeship and to help grow the MEC enterprise in different ways.
Danni has spoken on a panel on Construction & Diverse Hires. She is using her lived experience and her carpentry skills to make the construction industry more supportive to diverse people, for future generations
