Krista began her own healing journey when she met co-founders Elder Mae Louise and daughter Jamie in 2016 at a women’s retreat where she first connected with the cultural teachings and ceremonies of these Indigenous Matriarchs and never looked back since. She has spent the last 9 years photographing many important events and capturing many portraits for the Clan Mothers Healing Village, participating in the Annual Moondance and has since moved into the role of Social Enterprise and Innovation Manager in April of 2024 bringing several years as a self-employed entrepreneur.

She guided the most recent launch of Asum Ki Ahcahk, (Cree translation for Feed Your Spirit), a mobile food vendor cart serving delicious, locally-made, Smokies including Bison and Chorizo alongside some fabulous Indigenous Brands, Tomahawk Chips, Rad Relish and Authentic Indigenous Seafood. The food cart provides opportunities for employment for Indigenous women who want to work in food service, while building their customer service and business skills, while customers are thrilled to support the social impact.
