Robin Attas (she, her) is a white settler based in Treaty 1 territory, with a lifelong passion for equity, justice, and social responsibility through education. She works at the University of Manitoba as an EDIA Specialist in the Division of Extended Education, the latest step in a long career fostering EDIA, decolonization and Indigenization efforts in universities in Canada and the US. In her present role, Robin oversees and teaches EDIA programming for the university community, and supports the public course EDIA 0108: Understanding Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in Practice. Robin facilitates workshops and discussions on a range of EDIA topics for both academic and non-academic audiences, including school and government officials and community groups. Outside of work, Robin enjoys homesteading and volunteering with her family near Ste. Geneviève, Manitoba.
