This report draws together information from all of the research projects conducted as part of the Manitoba Research Alliance on Community Economic Development in the New Economy. It includes sections on; defining CED and the New Economy. It then discusses CED in rural Manitoba, including government policy, rural CED organizations, CED networks and Community Learning Networks in rural Manitoba. It concludes with CED opportunities in rural Manitoba, including agricultural land trusts and alternative food production and farm marketing models. The report also includes a bibliography of selected MRA reports used for this kit.
