The Canadian Community Economic Development Network, The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, and Rebel Sky Media are proud to present The Inclusive Economy: Stories of Community Economic Development (CED) in Manitoba.
All around us we see the results of the gaps that capitalism leaves. The Inclusive Economy gives a glimpse into the world of CED, and showcases the good work that’s going on right here in our province. Economists, CED practitioners, and employees of Social Enterprises and Co-ops share their experiences to give a full picture of an economy that is for and by people.
The film was premiered at an event in Winnipeg at the end of January. This premier was free, and following the screening there was a panel discussion featuring a few of the individuals seen in the film.
This film was made in conjunction with a report detailing the history of CED in Manitoba. The report is forthcoming and will be available at the launch.
