Joseph (or Joe) is an experienced activist and community organizer who has been advocating for social and environmental justice at the local and national level for many years. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Masters in Environment and Resource Studies. Since then, he’s been involved in numerous local initiatives as an organizer, leader and mentor. Joe has been an active member within organizations such as Leadnow, the Manitoba Energy Justice Coalition, and Communities Not Cuts. He’s helped design campaigns to promote justice, sustainability and equity across Canada. In addition to building grassroots activism. Joe is currently employed as the Campus Sustainability Coordinator at the University of Winnipeg where he works on improving the institution’s environmental and social impact, and supporting the education and development of student environmental leaders.
