Kelsey is the Community Engagement Coordinator at Heartwood. Kelsey is a white settler Queer living and working on Treaty 1 Territory, the territories of the traditional territories of the Anishinaabeg, Ininew, and Očhéthi Sakowin, and on the homeland of the Red River Metis. They are a University of Winnipeg student working toward a human right’s degree.

They have strong ties in the community and non-profit sector as a community member and social justice advocate. At Heartwood, they have the privilege of connecting with other community organizations and building relationships, getting involved with advocacy, and coordinating the Anti-Oppressive Practice Committee. Kelsey believes that supporting each other, sharing ideas, collaboration, and connection is the key to moving toward a better future.
