Since 2005 Vera Goussaert has been the Executive Director of the Manitoba Cooperative Association, an organization created by its members to enhance and support the development of a strong, united and influential cooperative community in Manitoba.
Vera has worked and volunteered her entire career with cooperatives both locally and abroad including spending six months with the Credit Union Association in Ghana and 2 years as a co-op developer with the Province of Manitoba. She has sat on the Boards on numerous organizations over the years including Assiniboine Credit Union, SEED Winnipeg, the University of Winnipeg Community Renewal Corporation, Gimli Film Festival, the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation, amongst others. Vera holds a Master of Science in Economy, Risk and Society from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce from the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba.
Winnipeg is home to Vera and she is committed to help building a diverse, inclusive city that embodies economic and social justice.
