If you’ve ever wondered if social enterprise is an option for your non-profit organization, how it might affect charity status, or if you’re learning what social enterprise is for the first time this is the workshop for you. Matthew Rempel from Strategy Made Simple will provide a description of what social enterprise is, how it can be used, and how it can be a part of the funding and operational mix for nonprofits using local and Canadian examples.
In this workshop, there will be space to ask questions about how these ideas connect with your organization, as well as to participate in activities that can help clarify which ideas are more likely to fit with your existing nonprofit.
After this two hour workshop, you will have examples of social enterprises and their models to bring to your team, knowledge of what some of the common risks are, and ideas of how to take your first steps in exploring if social enterprise is the right model as a part of your organization.
Accessibility: Closed Captioning via Zoom AI will be available at the workshop. Additional accessibility accommodations are available by advanced request by contacting Marlis Funk at by February 24, 2026.
Registration will open in early February 2026!
