Charlotte Lewthwaite graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Economics, with a focus on community economic development and policy. She was initially drawn to CleanStart BC through a keen interest in the logistics and collective benefits of the social enterprise model of business.
Through her time at CleanStart BC, Charlotte has championed the philosophies behind both social employment and social enterprise.
Currently serving as CleanStart BC’s Chief Operations Officer, Charlotte oversees the all operations pertaining to the junk removal, pest control, sanitization, and cleaning divisions. Her passion is in the social employment areas of her job, as this requires a problem solving ability, creativity, and compassion for other people’s experience – especially when managing staff members facing severe barriers to employment.
