Joanne Roberts is a Winnipeg-based storyteller and filmmaker whose work is rooted in questions of identity, belonging, and who gets to shape the stories we tell about one another. Her years working as a television reporter changed the way she thinks about representation, particularly how much power can sit in what gets included, what gets left out, and whose perspective is centred. Today, she brings that lens into her films, workshops, and community work, helping people tell stories with greater care and curiosity.
