With 30 years of experience in disability advocacy, Laurie has served on numerous boards and councils, contributing to the advancement of disability rights and inclusion. She hold degrees in Human Rights and Psychology and is the founder and Executive Director of DAWN Manitoba. She also serve as a Council (Board) member of the Manitoba League of Persons with Disabilities (MLPD).
