Mr. Peter Hall
Peter V Hall is Professor of Urban Studies at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. He holds a doctorate in city and regional planning from the University of California at Berkeley. He previously directed and taught in the Local Economic Development Program at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, and he worked in local government in Durban, South Africa. His research interests include community, local economic, and employment development, as well as the connections between port cities, seaports and logistics. He is co-editor of “Community-University Research Partnerships: reflections on the Canadian Social Economy experience” (Victoria, 2012) and co-author of "The Proposal Economy" (UBC Press, 2015). He serves as an advisor to various civil society and governmental organizations. With Peter Elson, he has played a leading role in studies of the social enterprise sector in Canada.
