Laura Tyler, Executive Director of Sustainable Building Manitoba, is a tireless advocate for eco-friendly construction as a weapon against climate change and a tool for bolstering local economies. Her involvement extends beyond her primary role; she’s a board member of the Manitoba Eco-Network, founding member of Peacing It Together, was a key organizer with the Manitoba Energy Justice Coalition, and was active in Manitoba’s Climate Action Team. She also champions causes like hydro development, government accountability and food security.
Originally from Halifax, Laura relocated to Winnipeg in 2013. She’s not just an activist but a community builder, orchestrating events from protests to community BBQs. Her dedication embodies the belief that one passionate individual can make a difference, especially when you work with others.
