Join us on September 14th and hear from Wendy Keats, Executive Director of the Co-operative Enterprise Council of New Brunswick and board member with the Canadian CED Network, regarding recent conversations she has had with the NB Minister of Economic Development, Francine Landry. Wendy and Laurie Cook, fellow board member, Convenor with the Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia and project lead for the United Way Halifax's Hub Convening Project, will also discuss the upcoming Local Prosperity Conference in Miramachi.
This regional virtual member meetup is an opportunity to connect with other CCEDNet members, Board members and staff in your region, to discuss opportunities and challenges, and ask questions. Some other proposed topics of conversation include the federal Atlantic Growth Strategy and what CED opportunities might present themselves in Atlantic Canada as a result of climate change.
The meeting will start with introductions, followed by Wendy and Laurie’s presentations and discussion related to the topic mentioned above and conversations around any other issues and/or opportunities emerging from the exchanges.
New members are particularly welcome.
