This report draws together information from all of the research projects conducted as part of the Manitoba Research Alliance on Community Economic Development in the New Economy. It includes sections on; defining Community Economic Development and the New Economy, and the effects of the New Economy on Northern Manitoba communities, CED in Northern Manitoba, including Federal and Provincial government policy, Northern CED organizations, and CED networks. It also discusses recommendations for CED Opportunities and training and job readiness. The report also includes a bibliography of selected MRA reports used for this kit.
