The five community-based organizations that are helping lead the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Rebuilding Communities Initiative (RCI) offer excellent opportunities to document the success of community-based leadership development. At the invitation of the Annie E. Casey Foundation (AECF), The Development Training Institute (DTI) reviewed the leadership development processes at the five RCI sites. The study resulted in the creation of a conceptual framework that helps people better understand community based leadership development.
