2024 Canadian Employee Ownership Conference

Host:
ESOP Association

Event Type:
Conference

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This conference is for anyone interested or involved in equity sharing as an effective tool for business growth and exit planning. We’re anticipating an influential cross-sector participant group including business owners and CEOs of small and medium sized privately-held companies, employee-owners, executive leaders from large and medium public companies, co-op directors, and professional advisors.

If you’re interested in learning about strategies to boost your employee ownership culture or if you’d like to learn how equity sharing can help you grow or exit your business, this is the conference to attend. The Employee Ownership Canada Conference will feature insights from some of Canada’s leading employee owned companies, as well as advisors and experts who can answer all your employee ownership questions.

WHAT WILL I LEARN ABOUT EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP IN CANADA?
Practical strategies for successful programs; why implementing the technical plan itself doesn’t mean it will be successful, creating an ownership culture, tax issues and strategies to mitigate risk, stories of EO transition successes and failures from real companies and their employee owners, and much more.

WHO WILL I MEET?
Other interested individuals from all over Canada, US and Europe, experts with experience using EO Plans and/or designing/implementing them, EO organizations from a variety of industries and sizes.

HOW MIGHT I CONTRIBUTE?

Bring your experience, bring your pre-thought out questions, be inquisitive, engage in the platform we are using this year as much as possible; play the games, visit each section – sessions, stage, networking, expo booths – use the chat functionality, meet a new person and learn why they showed up. Take what you learned and use it in your own company to improve your EO journey or to implement one from the beginning. Continue to spread the word on Employee Ownership in Canada and its place in our economy.
