Host:
CCEDNet, NAFC, and SRDC

Event Type:
Panels, Virtual

CCEDNet, the National Association of Friendship Centres, and SRDC are thrilled to invite you to a special event that aims to inspire dialogue, foster connections, and empower the next generation in the workforce.

Join us for a dynamic two-part workshop, where youth and employers come together to share their employment experiences within and beyond CreateAction.

In the first segment, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from an inspiring panel discussion featuring three remarkable youth who identify as facing barriers to employment. Youth panelists will share what they’ve learned during their placements, what they hope for in future opportunities, and what they wish they would have known before. Their stories, insights, and reflections promise to offer invaluable lessons for all attendees, particularly for employers.

Following this enriching discussion, we’ll delve into an exploration of the program’s evaluation findings, led by our evaluation partner SRDC, around employer experiences and strategies for working with youth facing barriers to employment. This segment aims to spark meaningful dialogue on how employers can collectively empower youth in the workforce and create pathways to success, through an interactive employer workshop.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to gain comprehensive insights and tools on how how to comprehensively support youth facing barriers to employment.
