Healthy Communities Coordinator

Eligibility: Current post-secondary school student or will be in the fall

Individuals will create and implement a program within the region that helps to promote the various aspects of “healthy living”. The program should identify ways to encourage healthy lifestyles including building habits for healthy eating options, increasing awareness about opportunities for low to no cost physical activity, and overall mental health and wellness ideas. The program will also provide resources related to environmentally-friendly and sustainable options for event planning, and use social media, as well as print media, to share this information widely. The student will also be involved with the Community Garden located on site at the Aspotogan Heritage Trust office.

Working knowledge of Word and Publisher are an asset. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

Must be able to interact well with the public, help with basic office support, and have the ability to problem solve with minimal supervision.
